What to Expect

Pre-Care & Post-Care Information

Before Your Revanesse Lips+ Injection

Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements (eg. aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E) for one week prior to your appointment.

Apply a cold compress gently to your lips for 10-minute intervals as needed to reduce swelling for the first 48 hours.

Take Tylenol as needed. Apply Arnica gel for the first 24-48 hours to decrease bruising and swelling.

Avoid anything that forces the lips to pucker for two weeks. This includes drinking from a straw, smoking a cigarette, vaping, or any other action that causes puckering or suction in your lips. This also means being careful when kissing and eating. This can shift the location of your lip filler and cause damage to your lips.

Avoid wearing makeup for the first 24 hours. After the first 24 hours, only use clean or new lip products to avoid infection.

Avoid alcohol for 24 hour after your lip filler injection.

Schedule a routine follow-up appointment two weeks after your lip filler injection.

Routine follow-up appointments are free of charge and included in your initial treatment cost. This visit is crucial to ensure that you achieve the best possible outcomes.

Pain is not normal. If you have pain following your lip injection, contact our office immediately by calling or texting (910) 585-0030.
